Career Explorations I

Calvert's Career Explorations I course gives seventh- and eighth-grade students an opportunity to explore various CTE subjects. Specifically, students learn about careers involving human-related services. Each unit introduces one particular field and explains its past, present, and future. The goal is to whet students' appetites for these careers before exploring a career of interest in more detail as a high school student.

The course's five units cover career management, an introduction to careers in health sciences, hospitality and tourism systems, human services, and consumer services.
